Following the cancellation of our Championship Obedience show and Obreedience heat we are currently working towards a figure and process to allow competitors to apply for a refund of entry fees. At this stage we still have a couple of invoices to agree but it is likely that the refund would be at least two thirds of the amount paid in entry fees. Competitors will have a choice of either claiming a refund, by providing bank details within a specific timeframe, or allowing their contribution to be donated to Charity. The committee of Winchester City DTC has agreed any surplus monies will be donated to The Kennel Club Charitable Trust, whose aim is to make a real difference to the health of dogs and dog welfare, no matter what their breed or background. Unfortunately, due to holiday commitments, it is unlikely we will have a final figure for one of the invoices until August. At that stage we will confirm the exact pence in £ refund that entries will receive.
We can also advise that we are trying to see if we can reschedule the “Crufts Qualifier” classes for towards the end of October. This would be the two Championship (ticket) classes, Good Citizen Special Pre-Beginner and Obreedience Heat. This is subject to RKC approval and agreement on a potential venue. This would be treated as a new show for which competitors would need to enter, i.e. entries will not be rolled over. .Again, we will advise further in due course.
Please look out for further announcements during August.
